CRIME TN GOONDASChennai, June 17 -- The Chennai City police have detained YouTuber Mukthar and political commentator Trichy Surya under the Goondas Act in connection with a cybercrime case for making alleged obscene and defamatory remarks during an online programme.
Trichy Surya is the son of senior DMK leader and Rajya Sabha MP Tiruchi Siva.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed by popular bike racer and BJP functionary Alisha Abdullah, for making derogatory comments about her and her children on a YouTube platform.
Following the complaint, the Cyber Crime Wing initiated an investigation and arrested both of them a few days back.
