Agartala, Sept. 19 -- The founder of TIPRA Motha and ally of the ruling BJP, Pradyot Kishore Debbarman reaffirmed today his decision to leave active politics, but said he wishes to continue his advocacy for the indigenous community's growth and development.
During a live session on Facebook, Debbarman expressed his disappointment with the current political landscape, criticizing leaders for prioritizing self-interest over principles and ideology.
He observed that many politicians today are more concerned with their proximity to power than adhering to a set of values. Despite this, he acknowledged that within the CPI (M), there still exists some level of ideology, discipline, and political values, which he finds lacking elsewhere.
