Agartala, May 5 -- A fresh wave of political tension has engulfed Jampuijla in Tripura's Sepahijala district following the arrest of leaders from the Tipra Motha party in connection with the alleged vandalism of a BJP party office.
In response, Tipra Motha has announced a dawn-to-dusk general strike in the area today. Tipra Motha MLA Biswajit Koloi, representing Takarjala, and MDC Suraj Debbarma are among those facing serious allegations linked to the incident.
