Itanagar, July 28 -- In a rare student-friendly gesture, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on Tuesday delayed the scheduled departure of the Tinsukia Express by more than 30 minutes, enabling CBSE examination candidates travelling to Gogamukh, Lakhimpur, Harmoti, and Naharlagun to board the train after completing their examinations.

The decision came after the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Tinsukia, promptly responded to a recommendation from Rajya Sabha MP from Arunachal Pradesh, Tai Tagak, following appeals from concerned parents.
