Amravati, Sept. 7 -- : The tigress that claimed three lives in Maharashtra's Amravati district was finally captured by the Forest Department in Chandur Bazar tehsil on Monday, officials said.
According to officials, the Forest Department team successfully tranquilised and caged the tigress that had claimed three lives over the past 11 days.
Earlier on Monday afternoon, the tigress attacked a farmer working in a field near Shirjagaon Kasba. The farmer succumbed to his injuries in the attack.
Following the incident, the Forest Department intensified its search operation and eventually located and captured the tigress from a farm in Shirjagaon Kasba.
