Chandrapur, July 6 -- : A farmer was killed in a tiger attack on Monday afternoon in an area adjoining the buffer zone of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, officials said.
Forest department officials said the deceased was identified as Raju Bhoyar, a resident of Navegaon (Ramdegi) village in Chimur tehsil.
He was erecting a bamboo fence around his field to protect the crops when a tiger lying in wait suddenly attacked him at around 4 pm, killing him on the spot.
