Shimla, July 27 -- Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Monday assured all possible assistance to the Tibetan refugee community after a delegation of the Tibetan Refugee Potala Market Association met him here and sought intervention for the early resolution of issues affecting their livelihood, including a demand for a 50 per cent concession in ground rent for the seasonal market at Chandigarh's Exhibition Ground.
The delegation apprised Thakur of the challenges being faced by the Tibetan refugee community and requested his intervention to ensure that their genuine concerns are addressed at the earliest.
