Parwinder SandhuNew Delhi, June 12 -- Sporadic rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds brought significant relief from the scorching summer heat across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Friday, with temperatures dropping sharply under the influence of multiple weather systems active over northwestern India.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a western disturbance persisting as a cyclonic circulation over north Haryana and adjoining areas, coupled with cyclonic circulations over central Pakistan and southeast Rajasthan, has triggered unstable weather conditions across the region. The seasonal trough stretching from Pakistan to Gangetic West Bengal is also contributing to the prevailing weather pattern.
