Lucknow, April 8 -- Strong winds, thunderstorms and light rain lowered the temperature in many parts of Uttar Pradesh, including the state capital Lucknow, in the past 24 hours, damaging standing crops at several places.
The Meteorological Department said rain and thunderstorms will continue at many locations in western and eastern UP over the next two days.
After a scorching day on Tuesday afternoon, the weather suddenly turned pleasant in the evening, bringing relief. By evening, the capital became overcast, and light rain began accompanied by strong winds. Similar conditions were observed in other districts of the state.
According to the IMD, light rain was recorded in several districts from western to eastern Uttar Pradesh.
