Panchkula, Oct. 10 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday warned of thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph, with gusts of up to 60 kmph, at isolated places in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on October 12, even as it forecast intermittent rainfall activity across the region over the next seven days.
According to the IMD's All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued at 4.31 p.m., isolated to scattered rainfall is likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi during October 10-16, with scattered rainfall expected on October 12.
