Panchkula, Aug. 4 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts continued thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds, and widespread rainfall across northwest India in the coming days.
Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, and Punjab, as per the All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued Tuesday morning. The bulletin issued at 8:04 a.m. IST on August 4 indicates widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and wind speeds of 30-40 kmph, gusting to 50 kmph, over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad from August 4-7, and over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from August 4-9.
