Panchkula, June 12 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Himachal Pradesh Centre, has issued a weather alert warning that a squall line stretching from Punjab to Haryana is moving eastward and is likely to affect several parts of Himachal Pradesh over the next three hours.
According to the IMD, the advancing weather system is expected to bring fairly widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across many parts of the state, particularly in the plains and mid-hill regions, including Shimla city and adjoining areas.
