Thrissur, April 24 -- With the death of the fireworks contractor of Thrissur Pooram, Mundathicode Satheesan, who suffered severe burn injuries in Tuesday's fire accident, the death toll in the tragedy rose to 15.
Satheesan, the main licensee of the fireworks manufacturing unit of Thiruvambadi temple, one of the stakeholders of Thrissur Pooram, was known for his fireworks technique for the past 13 years.
He received 100 percent burn injuries in the blast that occured in the fireworks manufacturing unit at Mundathicode, some eight km from here, on Tuesday.
