Hyderabad, Oct. 10 -- Three senior Maoist leaders (SCMs) of banned CPI (Maoist), including a couple, surrendered before the Telangana Police here on Friday.
Speaking at a press conference here, DGP Shivdhar Reddy said, "Kunkati Venkataiah (52) alias Ramesh alias Vikas, , a native of Kutigal village of Siddipet District (Telangana); Mogilicharla Venkataraju (45) alias Raju alias Erra Raju alias Chandu, a hative of Thatikayala village of Hanumakonda District (Telangana) and his wife Todem Ganga (42) alias Gangavva alias Sony, a native of Dharampeta village, Sukuma district of Chhattisgarh state, have decided to dissociate themselves from the CPI (Maoist) organization on health grounds and rejoin the mainstream with government assistance.
