Imphal, May 13 -- Three persons were shot dead on Wednesday in Kangpokpi district by unknown persons.
According to police, unknown armed persons fired at two vehicles near Kotzim and Kotlen villages in which three persons died.
Meanwhile, security personnel have rushed to the spot to enquire about the incident.
To protest the killing, Kuki bodies imposed a total shutdown of Imphal to Mao national highway.
Conflicts between two different communities in the Manipur hill districts remain unresolved. The conflicts between the Kuki and Naga tribes have so far led to a series of violent attacks, including the international border areas.
