Agartala, Aug. 1 -- A local court in South Tripura convicted three persons for their involvement in the theft at Daitteswari Kali Bari and Sabroom Loknath Temple.
The convicted individuals, Jhulan Nama (28), Chantu Tripura (21), and Sajal Nama (27), were found guilty in connection with Sabroom Police Station. They have been sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 10,000 each under Section 331(4) of BNS.
In default of payment, they will face an additional four months of rigorous imprisonment. Additionally, they have been awarded three years of simple imprisonment and imposed another Rs 10,000 fine each under Section 305 of BNS, with an additional four months of rigorous imprisonment in default of payment.
