Jaipur, Aug. 3 -- Three pilgrims from Kolkata were killed and 15 others injured in a massive head-on collision between a tempo traveler and a fast speeding trailer, near Sujangarh in Churu district of Rajasthan on Monday.
A group of members of an extended family of Kolkata, were heading for Pushkar, for taking a holy dip in the Sarovar, after paying obeisance at the Shrine of the Salasar HanumanJi, when their vehicle was hit by the speeding trailer near the Bobasar culvert on the Salasar-Sujangarh Road, the police said.
The collision was so powerful that the traveller tempo broke the railing of the culvert and overturned on the road, the police sources said.
Two women and a girl were killed in the mishap and 15 others were injured.
