Chennai, Aug. 30 -- Three members of a family were killed and three others sustained serious injuries when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling rammed into a truck near the temple town of Periyapalayam in neighbouring Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
The deceased including two women--mother and her daughter.
Preliminary investigations revealed that all the occupants, including the driver, who were returning home after having darshan at a temple, are from the same family.
Driver Loganathan lost control of the vehicle while swerving to the left to overtake a truck and rammed into it. In the impact, the autogot toppled killing three people on the spot.
