Chhapra, May 14 -- At least three people were killed in a road accident near Sonia village on National Highway 531 under the Daudpur police station area in Saran district today.
According to police, a truck coming from the opposite direction rammed into the autorickshaw carrying the passengers. One person was killed on the spot while two others sustained serious injuries.
The injured were rushed to Ekma Health Centre where they succumbed to their injuries.
Police said that the identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. The bodies were sent for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.
The damaged autorickshaw has been seized, however the truck driver managed to flee from the scene along with the vehicle.
