Lakhimpur Kheri, Oct. 20 -- Three men riding a motorcycle lost their lives after being hit by a speeding vehicle near the Mahmadpur police outpost in Lakhimpur's Pasgawan area early this morning.
The victims were identified as Guddu (45), his uncle Sant Ram (45), and his brother-in-law Haripal (35). Guddu and Sant Ram died on the spot, while Haripal succumbed to his injuries later at the hospital.
The incident occurred at around 5 am when the three were returning from a private hospital after collecting medicine for Guddu's leg treatment. Eyewitnesses and family members claim that the vehicle that struck them fled the scene immediately after the collision.
