Nalgonda, June 5 -- Three persons, including two children, were burnt alive after a fire triggered by an alleged electrical short circuit led to a gas cylinder explosion in Miryalaguda town of Nalgonda district on the midnight of Thursday.
According to police, the victims were identified as Chandrakala (45), her son Lakshman (16), and daughter Pranathi (14).
Police said a sudden electrical short circuit sparked a fire in the house. The flames rapidly spread and engulfed the cooking gas cylinder, which exploded, trapping the victims inside the house.
All three sustained severe burn injuries and died on the spot, officials said.
