Chandigarh, July 23 -- Amritsar Rural Police have busted two suspected heroin trafficking modules in separate intelligence-led operations, arresting three alleged smugglers and recovering 6.582 kg of heroin along with Rs 9.90 lakh suspected to be proceeds of the narcotics trade.
Officials said separate FIRs have been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Ajnala and Beas police stations. Investigators are working to identify the entire network linked to the recovered contraband.
