Chennai, June 23 -- Three people from Tamil Nadu were among the 12 Indians killed in the Qatar gas plant explosion, even as Chief Minister Vijay on Tuesday condoled their deaths and announced a solatium of Rs ten lakh each to their families, and promised all efforts to bring back their bodies to the state through the External Affairs Ministry and the Indian Embassy in Qatar.
In a statement here, he said the three people from Tamil Nadu hailed from Tirunelveli district and were identified as Babith (26), Sujithkumar (25) and Kavin (24).
Expressing deep anguish and grief over their deaths, Vijay said steps were being taken through the External Affairs Ministry and the Indian Embassy in Qatar to bring back their bodies.
