New Delhi, March 13 -- The three-day Bhakti Sangeet Festival began on Friday evening at Central Park in Connaught Place, bringing devotional music to the heart of the national capital.
Organised by the Sahitya Kala Parishad under the Department of Art & Culture, the festival showcases the rich traditions of India's bhakti music through curated performances over three evenings.
The inaugural evening opened with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by Delhi's Minister for Art, Culture and Languages, Kapil Mishra, who attended the event as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Mishra said it was an honour to meet renowned devotional singer Anuradha Paudwal, whose voice people have been listening to for decades.
