Dharamshala, Jan. 21 -- Himachal Pradesh Police have registered two separate cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act after recovering nearly 12 grams of chitta (heroin) from three persons in Kangra district, Police said here on Wednesday.
Kangra district superintendent of police Ashok Rattan told UNI that in the first case, 5.93 grams of chitta were recovered from Navdeep near Darang Bazaar under the jurisdiction of Bhawarna police station. The accused is a resident of the Palampur area of Kangra district. He said that in this connection, a case under Sections 21 and 61-85 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bhawarna.
