Agartala, July 23 -- Tripura Human Rights Commission (THRC) issued notices to Air India Express and DGCA. They are responding to a complaint from Captain Partha Bhowmik, an Agartala pilot who says his human rights were violated.
THRC Chairperson Justice Arindam Lodh led the panel that ordered the airline's CEO and Chief Operating Officer (COO), along with the union of India, to reply. Bhowmik claims he was forced to sign a training bond.
He was promised a promotion and a job in Kolkata, but neither happened. He says he went without pay for nearly 13 months, from October 2023 to June this year. The airline fired him on June 22 without a proper warning.
