Hyderabad, May 17 -- The Greenathon-2026 Run was organised on Necklace Road on Sunday morning as part of the International Day for Biodiversity celebrations, drawing enthusiastic participation from around 5,000 runners.
The event was conducted between 0500 am and 0900 hours under the supervision of Biodiversity Board Secretary Kalicharan. Marathon competitions were held in 21K, 10K, 5K, and 3K categories as part of the 'Run for Biodiversity' initiative.
Ace badminton player Saina Nehwal, a recipient of the Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri, Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna and Arjuna Award, attended the programme as the chief guest along with renowned wrestler Shanky Singh.
