Prayagraj, Feb. 15 -- A flood of devotees has gathered at the Triveni Sangam on Mahashivratri, the sixth and final bathing festival of the Magh Mela. Mahashivratri is the 44th and final day of the annual Magh Mela, held on the sands of the Sangam, Uttar Pradesh.

A large number of devotees have been taking a holy dip at various ghats of the Triveni Sangam since Brahmamuhurta (dawn). According to Mela officer Rishiraj, more than two million devotees have taken a holy dip since morning and over 8 million more are expected in the day.
