Chennai, July 31 -- The Principal District and Sessions Court in Thoothukudi has dismissed the bail plea of Opposition DMK MLA G.V. Markandayan in the case relating to making derogatory and defamatory remarks against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay.
The Legislator knocked the doors of the Sessions Court after the Judicial Magistrate Court dismissed his bail plea.
After Principal District Judge S. Subadevi sought certain clarifications regarding the petition pending filed by him before the Madras High Court during the earlier hearing, it was taken up again on Thursday evening, when the judge after hearing arguments from boththe sides, dismissed the bail plea.
