Mumbai, May 20 -- The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) delegation on Wednesday urged Chief Electoral Officer S Chockalingam to ensure that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Maharashtra does not create the kind of confusion seen in states like Bihar and West Bengal, where nearly 10 per cent of voters' names were deleted. The delegation also stressed that the SIR process should not be used as a tool to influence election outcomes.
