Panchkula, Oct. 21 -- Panchkula Police have impounded a modified Thar and issued its driver a Rs 22,500 challan for multiple traffic violations after he allegedly performed stunts at the Sector 5 Dussehra Ground, officials said on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime and Traffic, Amrinder Singh said the incident took place two to three days earlier. Police gathered information about the driver following reports of the stunts.
City Traffic Police Station SHO Varinder Kumar issued the challan, and the vehicle was taken into police custody, Singh said.
According to police, the driver acknowledged his mistake, apologised and appealed to other young people not to perform dangerous stunts. The release did not identify him or specify...
