Mumbai, Sept. 13 -- The Shiv Sena (UBT) faction led by Uddhav Thackeray has received permission from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to hold its traditional Dussehra rally at the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan, popularly known as Shivaji Park, in Dadar on October 20.
The permission was granted by the BMC's G-North ward after no other political party or organisation submitted an application to use the ground for a Dussehra event this year.
The Thackeray faction had submitted its application to the civic authorities nearly two months ago.
The Shivaji Park Dussehra rally has been a long-standing tradition of the Shiv Sena since its formation.
