Hyderabad, April 23 -- The strike by employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) entered its second day on Thursday, with the Joint Action Committee (JAC) intensifying its agitation by calling for "Maha Dharna" protests at bus depots across the state.

JAC Chairman Eeduru Venkanna urged workers to stage large-scale sit-ins, following what he described as the successful shutdown on the first day of the strike.

The agitation began at midnight on Tuesday after talks with the government over workers' demands failed to yield a resolution.
