Hyderabad, June 18 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday caught a TGSPDCL official red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 in Sangareddy district.
According to the ACB statement, B. Rama Krishna Reddy, Additional Assistant Engineer (Operations), TGSPDCL, IDA Bollaram, was trapped near his office at around 1325 hours while demanding and accepting the bribe from a complainant.
The official allegedly sought the money in return for not initiating action against the complainant, whose car had damaged an electricity pole in an accident on June 12.
