Hyderabad, Oct. 27 -- The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC) today directed the Director General of Police to submit a detailed factual report by November 3 regarding the complaint filed by the family of Shaikh Riyaz, main accused in a constable murder case, who was recently killed in an encounter.
The family members - including his mother, wife, and minor children - appeared before the Commission alleging that they were being harassed, denied entry into their house, and subjected to third-degree torture by police officials.
They also claimed that the deceased constable, Pramod Kumar, had allegedly demanded Rs 3 lakh from Riyaz, of which Rs 30,000 had already been paid, and that fraudulent monetary dealings existed between them.
