Kolkata, May 3 -- Fresh tension gripped the area outside the Shakhawat Memorial strong room on Sunday morning, a day ahead of vote counting, after a vehicle allegedly entered the restricted zone without proper checks, triggering a political confrontation.

According to allegations by Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders and supporters, a Scorpio bearing an "ex-army" sticker and purportedly displaying BJP symbols managed to reach close to the strong room areas, despite prohibitory orders under Section 163 being in force within a 200-metre radius.
