Dhera ( Kangra), April 1 -- Police have solved a temple theft case in Himachal Pradesh, arresting one accused and recovering stolen ornaments and donation money, officials said on Tuesday.

Dehra district superintendent of police Mayank Choudhary told UNI that a written complaint was lodged on February 14, 2026, by Rajeev Kumar, a resident of Kasoti village under Jwalamukhi tehsil.

He reported that unidentified persons had stolen ornaments from a Shiv temple in the village and tampered with the donation box. Acting on the complaint, Police Station Jwalamukhi registered a case (FIR No. 14/2026) under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and launched an investigation.
