Panchkula, June 14 -- Maximum temperatures across Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and Chandigarh are likely to rise gradually by 4-6 degrees Celsius during the next five days, according to the latest forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today.

The weather department said maximum temperatures had remained below normal over several parts of northwest India in recent days. Punjab recorded markedly below-normal temperatures at most places, while Haryana and Delhi witnessed below-normal temperatures at isolated locations.
