Kolkata, Dec. 8 -- With no new low-pressure system or cyclonic circulation forming over the Bay of Bengal and the free entry of northerly winds into West Bengal, winter conditions continue to strengthen across the state.
Saturday was the coldest day of the season so far, with Kolkata's minimum temperature dropping to 14 degrees Celsius.
The minimum rose slightly to 15.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday and early on Monday, the temperature dipped again with the city recording 15 degrees Celsius - still 1.6 degrees Celsius below normal.
The maximum temperature on Sunday stood at 25.6 degrees Celsius, which was 2.2 degrees Celsius below normal.
