Srinagar, Feb. 17 -- Day and night temperatures continued to remain above normal across Jammu & Kashmir as the region experiences an extended dry spell, with no significant rain or snowfall forecast until the end of February.
According to the Meteorological Department, minimum temperatures stayed 1-5degC above normal at scattered places in Kashmir region and 2-3degC above normal at many locations in Jammu division.
The coldest night in Kashmir was recorded at Pahalgam at -2.2degC, while Bhaderwah in Jammu Division recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 2.7degC.
In Srinagar, the maximum temperature on Monday settled at 16.6degC, which was 6.2degC above normal, while the minimum temperature was 0.8degC.
