Hyderabad, Jan. 4 -- The Telangana government has stepped up its legal efforts to prevent Andhra Pradesh from proceeding with the proposed Polavaram-Nallamala Sagar project on the Godavari river, with the matter scheduled to come up for hearing before the Supreme Court of India on Monday.
Ahead of the hearing, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy held discussions with senior Supreme Court advocate Abhishek Singhvi in Mumbai on Sunday.
The Chief Minister and the Minister instructed the legal team to present strong and comprehensive arguments on behalf of the state and asked irrigation officials to keep all relevant documents and evidence ready.
