Hyderabad, June 2 -- Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Tuesday said the formation of Telangana State stands as a symbol of the sacrifices made by martyrs and the democratic struggles waged over several decades.
On the occasion of Telangana State Formation Day, the Governor unfurled the National Flag at Lok Bhavan and received the Guard of Honour from the police forces.
Paying rich tributes to the martyrs of the Telangana movement, the Governor remembered those who laid down their lives for the realisation of the separate state. He also extended his greetings to the people of Telangana and Telangana natives living across the globe.
