Hyderabad, June 20 -- More than 6.43 lakh cases were settled across Telangana during the second National Lok Adalat held on Saturday, with compensation of about Rs 422 crore awarded in various matters, according to the Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA).
The Lok Adalat was conducted across the state, including at the Telangana High Court, to facilitate settlement of pending and pre-litigation disputes covering categories such as consumer, labour and other civil matters.
A total of 353 Lok Adalat benches were constituted, including 349 benches in judicial districts, two benches in the Telangana High Court and two benches in the Debt Recovery Tribunals in Hyderabad.
