Hyderabad, Aug. 1 -- Telangana recorded its highest-ever single-month commercial tax collections in July 2026.
The Commercial Taxes Department collected Rs 7,865 crore in July month alone, registering a 19 per cent increase over the Rs 6,624 crore collected in the corresponding month last year.
According to a press note issued by the Commercial Taxes Department on Saturday, the July collections surpassed the previous record of Rs 7,598 crore achieved in April 2026, reflecting sustained economic activity, improved tax compliance and effective enforcement measures.
GST collections alone stood at Rs 4,452 crore in July 2026, up by Rs 814 crore from Rs 3,638 crore collected in July 2025, registering a year-on-year growth of 22 per cent.
