Telangana ration cards equipped with multiple security features

Hyderabad, Aug. 13 -- The Telangana Civil Supplies Department has incorporated multiple visible, covert, tactile and digital security features in Food Security Cards (ration cards) to strengthen authentication, prevent duplication and improve beneficiary verification under the Public Distribution System (PDS).

The feature is intended to prevent unauthorised copying, manipulation and duplication of embedded data.

According to the security features presentation, the ration cards carry nine security features designed to make counterfeiting and unauthorised duplication difficult.
