Hyderabad, June 13 -- The Telangana Police has earned national recognition from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for its outstanding performance in passport verification services and has been selected for the prestigious "Institutional Performance Award for State Police" for the financial year 2025-26.
The award acknowledges the Telangana Police's efficiency, transparency and timely verification of passport applications, a critical component of the passport issuance process.
In an official communication, B S Mubarak, Joint Secretary (PSP) and Chief Passport Officer, MEA, informed Telangana Director General of Police C V Anand about the state's selection for the award.
