Hyderabad, April 1 -- Panchayats in Telangana have earned national recognition for their exemplary performance in rural development and sustainable governance, with two Gram Panchayats securing prestigious honours under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (DDUPSVP) announced by the union Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
Mothukupalli Gram Panchayat, located in Kotepalli mandal of Vikarabad district, received the award in the "Good Governance" category. The panchayat was recognised for ensuring transparent administration, encouraging public participation, and effectively implementing development programmes at the grassroots level.
