New Delhi/Hyderabad, March 18 -- Telangana Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka on Wednesday criticised the BJP-led Central Government, alleging that while it shows keen interest in the natural resources of Adivasi regions, it has failed to ensure the development and protection of tribal communities.
Addressing the AICC Tribal Advisory Council meeting held at Indira Bhavan in New Delhi, Seethakka, who is minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women & Child Welfare, expressed concern over what she termed as violations of Adivasi rights, including bypassing Gram Sabhas and undermining provisions of the PESA Act.
