Hyderabad, April 23 -- The Telangana High Court on Wednesday upheld the validity of the Justice P.C. Ghose Commission constituted by the state government to probe alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Project, ruling that its formation was neither illegal nor arbitrary.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G. M. Mohiuddin, however, held that the findings of the commission were prejudicial to the conduct and reputation of the petitioners and violated principles of natural justice and statutory safeguards.
The court directed that the inquiry findings would remain inoperative and that no action could be taken based on them.
