Hyderabad, Sept. 9 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday strongly condemned the alleged "purification" of a place where Dalit protesters had walked and the reported incidents of misconduct in the Assembly, terming them an attack on the self-respect and democratic values of Telangana.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister said the Congress represented trust and assurance for crores of people and recalled the party's role in providing reservations for SCs and STs in education, employment and politics.
He also condemned the alleged purification ritual conducted at a venue in Uttarakhand after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge held a meeting there on August 10.
